Dispenser Port Reverting to Com 0
In ColorDesigner 10.0 or Higher, If the dispenser is connected to Com 2 or Higher, then when trying to send to the dispenser, the Com port will automatically revert to '0' and give an error of 'Unable to open port Com 0'.
During the AutoConnect program for the spectro is written in ColorDesigner, if the customer has an automatic dispenser, it must be physically connected to Com 1 (teal-colored port on our Dell pcs) and Com 1 must be chosen in Housekeeping for the dispenser setup. If they are connecting their spectro by serial cable, it must be attached physically to Com 2 (additional port on our Dell pcs).
